"Scientists Decode Anthrax Genes"

A new report in the journal Nature shows the complete genetic sequence of the anthrax bacterium, Bacillus anthracis. The project, led by Timothy Read at The Institute of Genomic Research, sought to sequence the Ames strain of anthrax. The findings are expected to aid in the development of better vaccines and treatments against the bacterium.
