The Autism Coalition's Night of Too
Many Stars benefit event, held in New
York City on February 27, was a HUGE
success. This event has raised over $1.4
million to date for autism research and
education programs and generated substantial
media coverage. This event, which included a
comedy show, will be broadcast this spring
on NBC and was covered by Access
Hollywood, Entertainment Tonight,
Regis and Kelly Live and throughout
the New York print press. People
magazine will run a story on the benefit in
an upcoming issue.
The Autism Coalition wishes to thank the
incredible lineup of comedic talent who
starred in the show: Jack Black, Dana
Carvey, Macaulay Culkin, Jimmy Fallon, Tina
Fey, Darrell Hammond, Michael Imperioli,
Lisa Kudrow, Tim Meadows, Kevin Nealon,
Conan O'Brien, Lou Reed, Maya Rudolph, Adam
Sandler, Molly Shannon, David Spade, and Jon
Stewart. We would also like to thank the
many others who volunteered their time and
talent to make this benefit a smashing
success. We're especially grateful to
benefit co-chairs Dana Carvey, Lorne
Michaels, Conan O'Brien and Adam Sandler, as
well as the host of the dinner, NBC News
Anchor Brian Williams. We extend a very
special thank you as well to autism
champions Anthony Edwards, Doug Flutie and
Aidan Quinn who spoke at the dinner.
