"New Anti-Polio Campaign Starts in Afghan Capital"

The Afghan Ministry of Public Health, assisted by Japan and the World Health Organization, has begun a massive polio immunization campaign targeting children less than five years old. Launched in Kabul, the vaccination program plans to target about 475,000 children and will involve some 3,600 nurses.
