DR Syed Ahmed's letter (June
23) epitomises the continued inability of anyone
in public health to question the role of
vaccination in the undoubted autism epidemic. The
hypothesis of "better recognition", "diagnostic
substitution", and "changing standards of autism
diagnosis" has not been supported in multiple
studies that have attempted to find such support.
