“Liberia: Mass Immunization Campaign Monday”

The Liberian Ministry of Health and Social Welfare, along with UNICEF and other partners, is launching a mass immunization campaign that will target 200,000 women of child-bearing age and more than 128,000 children under the age of five years.  Poor health and sanitation conditions for refugees forced to flee and gather together due to fighting in the country brought about the campaign.  The immunization campaign will begin on June 23 and continue in separate rounds until September 11.
