“U.S. Army, Emisphere to Study Oral Anthrax Vaccine”

A cooperative research and development agreement established between the U.S. Army’s Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases and New York-based Emisphere Technologies will test Emisphere’s oral vaccine delivery technology as a possible method of administering the anthrax vaccine. The technology involves using eligenT delivery agents to transport proteins across membranes where they do not naturally flow, such as the intestine.
