Zambia: Measles Immunization Drive Overwhelming, Says Doctor

A nationwide measles vaccination effort has exceeded goals of immunization by almost 100 children daily, according to Zambia's Central Board of Health. The initial objective was to immunize 700 children a day, for a total of 5 million children, but the program has been averaging about 800 children a day. The vaccination effort is being conducted throughout Zambia, except in the Southern Province, which held a measles vaccination campaign last year.
