“Taiwan Reports Drop in New SARS Cases”

Chinese officials reported three new cases of severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) on Tuesday but no new deaths, while Taiwan officials reported only one new case.  Still, Chinese officials encourage vigilance against the spread of the disease, noting that the fight is “far from over.”  Meanwhile in Toronto, officials said they may conduct a public review of handling of the SARS outbreak there, although it would not be part of a formal review in which blame would be levied.
