“Japan Gives Sudan $2.5 Million to Fight Childhood Disease”

The Japanese government has donated $2.48 million to help prevent the spread of infectious disease in Sudan.  Some of the funds will be used for a free polio immunization effort, to be administered by UNICEF. Approximately 5.7 million children under the age of five will be targeted under the program.
