The Greater
Houston Mobile Health Forum has put together a coordinated summer calendar for
back-to-school vaccinations, hoping to encourage parents to begin the
immunization process early. The forum, which is facilitated by St. Lukes
Episcopal Health Charities, has 18 mobile units. Parents should come with their
children and bring their childrens immunization records; the immunization
services are free but are not intended for those with private insurance. The
mobile units are intended to reach lower-income families who lack
transportation, and will visit school campuses.
