by Dr Yubraj Sharma
Short Summary Issue 90 July 2003
Dr Sharma, a medically qualified homoeopathic doctor, addresses the argument, supported by a growing body of evidence, that vaccines are unsafe and ineffective. There is no evidence that vaccines have prevented disease and many governments now have vaccine liability funds to compensate families with children who have been damaged by a vaccine.
Dr Sharma examines the mechanism of vaccine damage. He begins by looking at the medical model of vaccination, where the safety is unquestioned and attention to the risks is often suppressed. He demonstrates that the immune system becomes overworked after vaccination, having to manufacture the high levels of antibodies required. This leads to immune deficiency and, so, children may contract infections that they would not normally have. The Defence Chi, which prevents exterior pathogenic factors from entering the body, is also affected by vaccination. By injecting disease material past the surface layer of immune cells, the body experiences a rift in the Defence Chi. Vaccination also causes excessive mucus production, which can aggravate infection by encouraging further bacterial growth, and may also be responsible for autoimmune disease (so many antibodies are produced after vaccination that many become abnormal) and allergenic disease (where the immune system becomes hypersensitive to allergenic triggers).
Vaccination may lead to behavioural problems and can cause hyperactivity of the immune system and intense activity within the thymus gland. The premature weakening and regression of this gland causes the child to enter the teenage phase too early, causing temper tantrums, hyperactivity, emotional sensitivity and, in extreme cases, autism.
According to the author, vaccination against one disease can actually cause another disease after a period of time, due to mutations from the basic disease. It also takes away our long-term active immunity, replacing it with a shorter-term passive immunity. Also, adjuvants are often added to vaccines to amplify antibody production, but these are lethal agents and, even in trace amounts, can cause disease. Mercury poisoning is also a significant problem with vaccinations, causing symptoms similar to those found in autism.
The author concludes by presenting two case studies and highlighting the importance of parents researching vaccines before allowing them to be administered to their children.
