"Uganda: Measles
Vaccination Kicks Off in October"
Uganda National
Expanded Program on Immunization (UNEPI) program manager Dr. Prossy Mugyenyi
recently announced that a measles vaccination program, targeting children
between the ages of nine months and 14 years, is scheduled for mid-October.
Funding for the program is set at 5.7 billion Uganda shillings. UNEPI has
allocated the funds for training personnel, social mobilization, transport of
vaccines, monitoring, and actual vaccination.
