U.S. IMMUNIZATION NEWS
"State Proposes Requiring Chickenpox Vaccine for Children" Associated Press (www.ap.org) (01/02/03)
Minnesota's Health Department is proposing that all children who have not had the chickenpox who are entering school or day care receive the chickenpox vaccine starting with the 2004-2005 school year. The department is also considering adding the pneumococcal vaccine to the list of required immunizations. Schools and day care providers would document a child's immunization history using the department's official records.
