"Nationwide Vaccination Begins"

Children between the ages of one year and five years and teenagers between the ages of 15 and 19 are the target groups for an A$291 million federally funded meningococcal C vaccination campaign in Australia. Children between the ages of six years and 14 years will be vaccinated against the disease as part of their annual round of inoculations at school. The program was launched in Victoria, Australia, on Friday, and other states will begin administering the shots later in the year.
