Abdul Redha, assistant director of the Medical Causalities Department at the Kuwait Health Ministry, reports that vaccines against smallpox, anthrax and cholera have been stockpiled in the event of biological reprisal attacks from Iraq. Additionally, the ministry is encouraging all medical personnel to be immunized against smallpox, and it plans to conduct hospital drills to check for readiness in receiving the victims of such an attack. The ministry also reported the receipt of eight fully accessorized and equipped sterilization field tents to be used by special medical teams in the handling of infected patients prior to relocating them to hospitals.
