"Fatal Disease to Be Eradicated"

In an effort to ensure better health for women and their newborn babies, Pakistan's Northwest Frontier Province Minister for Health, Mr. Inayatullah, is calling for a joint crusade against maternal and neonatal tetanus (M&NNT). Inayatullah spoke recently at the inaugural ceremony of the second round of the Phase II of Supplement Immunization Campaign for M&NNT in order to raise awareness. The first phase of the vaccination program targeted high-risk women, while the second phase--a door-to-door campaign--will target 1.6 million females in the area.
