Lottie Koster & Teri Paulling Presenting on
Picture Communication Systems
Lottie Koster has a Master's in Ed. from the University of North Carolina at
Chapel Hill, specializing in Early Intervention and Family Support. She has
been working with individuals with autism since 1990 and currently works at
the CARE Center in Charleston. She has received extensive training in
applied behavior analysis and Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS)
and sets up PECS programs for children ranging in age from 2-11 y/o.
Her co-presenter, Teri Paulling graduated from Ohio University with a B.S.Ed.
in Learning Disabilities and has a M.Ed. in Early Childhood Ed. from the
College of Charleston. She also has a 3 year old who receives ABA therapy
and is learning to communicate using a Picture Communication System.
MAKE & TAKE!
Part of this workshop will be a "Make & Take." Each participant will be
creating a Picture Communication Binder of their own and will be given PECS
cards, so they may utilize the resources & what has been learned immediately.

For those families unable to attend because childcare is too expensive,
financial assistance is available. This is based on need and a first-come,
first-serve basis. The average stipend is $30.00 per family, per workshop.

Note: Aiken County School District Teachers will receive staff development
Points for attending! Other teachers, therapists, and other professionals
may want to check with your supervisors to see whether you can receive
credits for attending.
