"TN to Include MMR, Rubella, in

A new immunization schedule is to be
launched in the Theni, Vellore, Tiruvannamalai, Cuddalore, and Perambalur
districts in Tamil Nadu, India, that will include for the first time the
measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) vaccine. This pilot project was created by the
World Bank-assisted ICDS project and is being executed by the Public Health
Department of Tamil Nadu. As part of the program, as many as 25,000 children
between two and five years of age will receive the MMR vaccine. The program
will also provide the rubella vaccine for girls between 10 and 15 years of age.
