"Children's Hospital Trials New Vaccine"

Australian Associated Press (AAP) (aap.com.au)

One hundred children at Adelaide's Women's and Children's Hospital in Australia will participate in a test of a new vaccine that aims to protect against the C and Y strains of meningococcal disease.  Another 300 children in Perth and Melbourne will receive the vaccination as well.  Prof. Don Roberton of the Pediatric Trial Unit research team noted that a vaccine already being used only protects children under the age of two against the C strain of meningitis.
