Canadian Prime Minister Jean Chretien has offered the country's 1.4 million aboriginals over C$2 billion for a variety of programs, including those focusing on health, education, and sanitation. Nearly C$1.3 billion will go to aboriginal health care initiatives, including C$32 million for a national on-reserve immunization effort.
