a disability conference helping hurches help families. Sixty families
touched by disability are now enjoying church participation here. Our
prayer is that participants will leave this conference equipped with
the knowledge, curriculum, and heart to start a disability ministry at
their own church. $85 by June 1, $110 by July 15, $150 after July 15

Bill Stillman -a one day workshop designed to demystify autism for the
layperson from a non-clinical, anecdotal perspective--listening to
what people with autism are telling us about their experience. The
training includes opportunities to experience simulation exercises, in
addition to exploring, in depth, the topics of differences in
communication, learning, sensory & movement in people with autism.

Literacy Learning for Children with Autism or Communication Delays
Susan Norwell,M.A. workshop will focus on the development of literacy
skills for children on the autistic spectrum . Emphasis will be placed
on strategies to develop comprehension for hyperlexic children,
language development and processing skills for site readers, and
strategies to help children who are nonverbal become readers and
writers. The underlying philosophy tying this workshop together is the
idea of a comprehensive literacy instruction program and how the
various pieces of it affect these children.
