"Virus May Be Less Aggressive in Children"

Dr. Tai Fai Fok, a professor at Chinese University of Hong Kong, reports that the virus that causes severe acute respiratory syndrome appears to be milder in young children than in teenagers and adults. According to Dr. Fok, for children eight years of age and younger, the most common symptom is fever, and their infection is shorter and their recovery is faster. Early findings have been published in the journal Lancet online.
