"Central African Republic: 7,500 Children Immunized Against Measles"
Africa News Service (www.allafrica.com) (04/28/03)
In Sibut, in the Central African Republic, 7,560 children were immunized against measles last week. The vaccination effort was launched by Medicos Sin Fronteras (MSF-Spain) following the detection of 22 measles cases in early April. MSF reached 67 percent of children in the Sibut area, and it left 2,400 doses of vaccines for local health officials to administer to children who were absent. MSF conducted a similar campaign in Bouar in March.
