"Hopes for a Vaccine for Cancer"

Researchers at Australia's Queensland Institute of Medical Research are focusing on cell therapy to treat illness, such as melanoma and prostate cancer.  The therapy in question is entering the third phase of clinical trials where the treatment is likely to be proven effective, says therapeutic development unit assistant director Andrew Boyd.  The trials will take up to three years and once proven effective, the vaccine will quickly move to market where it can begin benefiting patients.
