- Canada ratcheted up the pressure today to
persuade the World Health Organization to
reverse its advisory to travelers to avoid
Toronto because of the outbreak of the
highly contagious respiratory disease known
as SARS.
''We all believe that the World Health
Organization came to the wrong conclusion,''
said Prime Minister Jean Chrétien in a
nationally televised news conference today
after returning from a week's vacation in
the Dominican Republic.
