Xinhua News Agency (202.84.17.11/en/main.htm) (04/12/03)

Zambia's national measles immunization campaign, scheduled for the second week in June, is being funded by $3 million from UNICEF, $1.4 million from the World Health Organization, and about $20,000 from the Zambian government.  UNICEF is also donating 6,000 cold boxes, more than 5,000 ice packs, 7 million doses of the measles vaccine, 6 million auto-distract syringes, vehicles, safety boxes, and a team of health and social mobilization staff.  The campaign will involve more than 1,200 vaccination posts and is targeting children under the age of 15.
