National Infant Immunization Week (NIIW), which
runs from April 13 to April 19, aims to highlight the importance of childhood
vaccination. The week will be launched at a meeting in Los Angeles on Friday,
April 11, by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the Centers for
Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Immunization Coalition of Los Angeles
County, and California Hospital. For the event, the CDC will introduce two
public service announcements, one in Spanish and one in English; a bilingual
immunization booklet; and a list of activities related to NIIW around Los
Angeles.
