The state attorney general has sued 16 restaurant owners for failing to post warnings that tuna, shark and swordfish can contain unhealthful levels of mercury, which can pose a risk to fetuses. The suits said the restaurants violated a state law requiring businesses to notify consumers of potential toxic exposure. They follow similar lawsuits that prompted major supermarket chains to post warnings. Andrew C. Revkin (NYT)
