"Uganda: Appeal for Volunteers for HIV/AIDS Vaccine Trials" Africa News Service (www.allafrica.com) (04/08/03)
An appeal for another 40 volunteers to participate in an ongoing HIV vaccine trial has gone out from researchers at the Uganda Virus Research Institute (UVRI) in Entebbe. So far only 10 people have signed up in Uganda. The trial is part of a collaborative effort by the International AIDS Vaccine Initiative and the UVRI to accelerate the development and testing of AIDS vaccines.
