This 5 1/2 minute video can now be seen by ALL families and schools with
internet access. Nick News (seen on the Nickelodeon channel) first showed this
segment 2 years ago. Although its duration is just over 5 minutes, the segment
says a lot and is in kid-friendly language. Autism is explained from the
perspective of the sibling, the classmate, a parent, teacher, professional, as
well as the autistic child.
Who should see the video? Anyone who needs a beginning understanding of autism
- especially all school-age neurotypical children, who are exposed to autism as
schools progress toward mainstreaming more autistic children. The video should
be a must-see for all child-study teams, teachers and classmates of autistic
children. The segment promotes awareness and understanding.
