"Students Asked to Get Shots"

In order to meet immunization requirements for seventh grade, sixth-graders in Hawaii are being asked by state health officials to ensure that their vaccinations are up-to-date before summer vacation. Some schools, in an effort to encourage the completion of immunization records by the last day of school, are offering prizes from area stores. The Hawaii Department of Health is also launching a marketing campaign targeting parents, urging them to get their child's vaccinations updated.
