Dear Sandy,

Here is my story about getting the German Measles vaccine in a hospital in 1998 at the age of 44:

I went to work for a hospital back in 1998 and they said that I never had German Measles (which I know I did, but the antibodies were no longer present). They said that I couldn't work there unless I took the vaccination for that. I knew not to take vaccines, but I had just started taking the Mannatech products and thought that I could handle it. Besides, I thought I wouldn't get to keep my job if I didn't. So I took the vaccination and soon after started having terrible joint pains and have ever since. When I mentioned it to the women in the office that I worked with, they said, oh no, you didn't take that vaccine, did you?

Apparently, about 6 of them had done the same thing and had gotten severe arthritis afterward. Some had gotten it so bad that they had surgeries and had some joints ruined. Luckily, because I was taking the Ambrotose from Mannatech, my joints didn't get destroyed, but I did go through years of pain in my hips so bad that some days I could hardly walk around the hospital. And every month for 2-3 days I felt feverish and like I had the flu. This went on for 1 year. It has gotten better over the years as I have done things to counteract it, but I still have joint pains if I don't do "extra" stuff to take care of it.

Please post my story so that other people are not intimidated into ruining their health for no reason.

Thanks,

Terri

Vaccination News note:  The Institute of Medicine (IOM) in 1991 reported that "evidence is consistent with a causal relation" between rubella vaccine and chronic arthritis and "evidence indicates a causal relation" between rubella vaccine and acute arthritis.
